1. Pigment properties
Shandong Caizhiyuan Pigment Technology: High-pigment carbon black is a high-temperature oxidation product with a blue hue. It has excellent properties such as high blackness, strong tinting strength, good fluidity, easy dispersion, migration resistance, UV resistance and oxidation resistance.
The blackness of high-pigment carbon black is less than or equal to 16, the tinting strength% is greater than or equal to 130, the oil absorption (ml/g) is 1.0, the volatile matter (% at 950℃) is 7.0, the moisture (% ¡Ü) is 5.0, and the pH value is 2.5. The flowability (35℃ mm) was 22 and the sieve residue was 50.
High-pigment carbon black has excellent dispersion performance, low oil absorption, excellent weather resistance, acid and alkali resistance.
2. Introduction of carbon black blackness
The darker the carbon black, the higher its acidity. The pH value is between 2.5 and 4.5, and the adsorption capacity is higher. The pH value of ordinary carbon black is almost neutral, so its adsorption capacity is not obvious. Because the adsorption capacity of carbon black has a special effect on the dryness of coatings, the drying rate of coatings often decreases because of the adsorption of the drier in the paint.
When the PH value of carbon black is below 4, the greater its acidity, the greater the adsorption capacity of the drier, and the more obvious the effect on the anti-drying performance. The anti-drying effect of carbon black is not manifested immediately after the paint is made, but only after a period of time after the drier is completely or partially adsorbed (storage period). Therefore, when designing the paint, it is necessary to consider appropriately increasing the amount of drier.
